Description
In this course, you will complete your first project for a given target audience, primary school children. You will develop an educational game using stakeholholder and what you learnt so far.
Learning Outcome
You apply an iterative development methodology, collaborating in a team, to design, realise, and evaluate a simple software solution that meets a prescribed specification and demonstrates industry standards for good quality.

Activities
  • You will be allocated to a team where you will complete the project following an agile project management approach
  • You will be given a specification for the software that must be developed, particularly an educational game for 9-12 year olds
  • You will communicate with different stakeholders, including subject matter experts as well as end users
  • You will will implement the software using TypeScript within a given framework
  • You will follow the software development lifecycle from paper prototypes to final delivery
  • You will present your project in a team as various stages, including the final deliverable
  • You will make use of agile activities, including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives and guided by a lecturer and/or teaching assistant
  • You will be guided and assessed on your contribution to the project technically as well as reflection on the development of your professional skills
